Privacy Policy
This page explains what information the Seven Lake View Hotel website collects and how it is used. This site does not take payments online.
Reservation enquiries
When you send an enquiry through a reservation form, we store the details you enter — your name, phone number and booking details — and email them to the relevant hotel department so our team can respond. These records are only accessible to authorised hotel staff.
Website analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website — for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser used, the approximate location (city or region) and the website that referred you. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects this information on Google's behalf. We use these reports only in aggregate to improve the website; they do not tell us who you are.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Guest review page
Our guest review page (reached from the QR code at the hotel) helps you write a review for Google. If you choose to use it:
- The options you tick (star rating, services, dishes, rooms and so on), any short note you type and your chosen language are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to write a draft review. Please don't include personal details such as your phone number in the note.
- We do not save your choices, your note or the draft on our servers.
- To prevent misuse, your IP address is recorded in a scrambled (hashed) form to limit how many drafts can be made in 15 minutes. These records are temporary and are cleared automatically.
- When you tap the button to post, the draft is copied to your device's clipboard and Google's review page opens. Your review is posted from your own Google account, is public, and is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy. You can edit or delete it on Google at any time.
Google Maps
The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
WhatsApp links open an external service operated by WhatsApp/Meta. A message is only sent when you choose to press send in WhatsApp, and is then subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Contact details you share
Any details you share with us — through the website, by phone, email or WhatsApp — are used only to respond to your enquiry and are not sold or shared with third parties.
